NBA Live 18 will not be available for PC in 2017

Earlier this year, a few days before E3, a well know gaming publication published the enormous list of games that would be featured at the convention and NBA Live 18 was among the seven titles from Electronic Arts. It was then when the game was officially confirmed. Fans were relieved to see that their beloved franchise ended the one year vacation but it was something else that made players excited. The NBA Live 18 platform availability included PC in addition to current generation consoles Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It's been 10 years since the last NBA Live game was released for PC. NBA Live 08 released in 2007 is the last game that can be played on Microsoft Windows.

Players were hoping for the franchise to return to this system but it turns out that this won't happen in 2017. As more details started to emerge about the game, it became clear that a PC version is not in the works. Electronic Arts made no official statement about the possibility of a PC release or why the E3 listing showed PC as one of the platforms. It could be that they toyed with the idea of bringing back the game to PC but that idea, if it ever existed, never materialized. There isn't much to speculate on the reason why NBA Live 18 is not on PC. We can draw a parallel with EA's answer about Madden NFL franchise not being on PC either. It's simply not profitable to make a PC version. The rival basketball franchise, NBA 2K, is getting a much larger audience with the new title available for Nintendo Switch in addition to last and current Xbox and PlayStation consoles and PC. Another interesting fact is that both franchises are releasing the 2017 version on the same day and both have compelling pre-order bonuses and content. Without a doubt, Electronic Arts will spare no efforts into making NBA Live 18 as attractive as possible. Also we will offer free tips to help you get NBA Live 18 Coins cheap to have fun in game. So 2018 will be a good year for basketball simulation games fans.
